Ruixing Active Chinese Centre has taught AP Chinese to international school students in Singapore since 2012, from our Bugis centre (116 Middle Road, #05-04 ICB Enterprise House) — about five minutes' walk from Bugis MRT and six from Bras Basah.
Teachers on this programme have over 20 years of local teaching experience and hold the certified qualification for teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and teach bilingually — so when a student's Chinese is not yet enough to frame a question, they can ask in English and get a full answer.
Y11–Y12 international school students preparing for the AP Chinese Language and Culture exam, both heritage and non-heritage learners. Courses for other year groups (Y1–Y10) are also available — please contact us.
Physical group classes take a maximum of six students; online group classes on Zoom take up to 20. One-to-one is also available. Group lessons run four times a month, two hours each, materials included.

What are the teachers' backgrounds?
Teachers on our international programmes have over 20 years of local teaching experience and hold the certified qualification for teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and teach bilingually.
We don't speak Mandarin at home — can my child keep up?
That is exactly why our teachers work bilingually. A student can ask in English, get the explanation in English first, then come back to expressing it in Chinese.
Where do I check the exam format and dates?
Question types, syllabus and dates for the AP Chinese Language and Culture exam follow the College Board's official exam guide for the year, which may change annually — check the official source before registering.
